Blacksmithing is a profession in WotLK 3.3.5a.

Use
Blacksmithing creates metal weapons and armor and provides useful high-level benefits. Mining supplies most of its materials.

Progression
Raise the skill with recipes or resources appropriate to your profession level and train new ranks when available. Planning materials before power-leveling can reduce costs.

Level 80
Review recipes, profession benefits and items relevant to your class and role before choosing a profession purely for profit.
